For the remaining days till Christmas we wanted to share a few of our own Christmas stories and traditions. The first one up is from Jana, our HR Manager who is “Texas, born and raised”. She keeps us ship shape and very entertained during the season.
This Christmas Candy has been made by my family for generations. One of my cherished memories is making this with my Mom each year growing up.
Martha Washington Chocolates
6 cups powdered sugar
1 can Eagle brand condensed milk
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 lb chopped pecans
1 stick of butter
1 cup coconut
2 oz Paraffin wax
Melt the butter and mix with nuts in a mixing bowl. Then mix in the sugar, condensed milk, and coconut. Chill for 1 hour and then shape into balls about the size of a large marble. Melt the paraffin and the chocolate together with a pinch of salt in a double boiler. Dip the balls in chocolate and then cool on waxed paper. Enjoy!
